code of conduct

PUCK—IT Development is committed to providing a safe, respectful, competitive, and positive environment for all participants, families, staff, instructors, and facility partners. All participants, parents/guardians, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects good sportsmanship, respect, and accountability.

Participant Expectations

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat coaches, instructors, staff, officials, facility employees, teammates, and other participants with respect.
  • Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to participate.
  • Follow instructions from PUCK—IT staff and instructors.
  • Use equipment and facilities safely and responsibly.
  • Demonstrate effort, sportsmanship, and respect for the learning environment.
  • Refrain from bullying, harassment, abusive language, unsafe behaviour, or intentional actions that may harm others.

Parent/Guardian and Spectator Expectations

Parents, guardians, and spectators are expected to:

  • Treat PUCK—IT staff, instructors, officials, facility employees, participants, and other families with respect.
  • Support a positive and encouraging environment.
  • Refrain from yelling, abusive language, harassment, threats, or disruptive behaviour.
  • Allow instructors and staff to lead the program without interference.
  • Follow facility rules and PUCK—IT policies.
  • Address concerns respectfully and through appropriate communication channels.

 

Safety and Behaviour

PUCK—IT reserves the right to remove any participant, parent/guardian, or spectator whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, abusive, threatening, disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the values of the organization.

Behaviour that may result in removal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or discrimination.
  • Physical aggression or intentional unsafe contact.
  • Verbal abuse toward staff, instructors, officials, facility employees, participants, or families.
  • Failure to follow instructions or facility rules.
  • Repeated disruptive behaviour.
  • Damage to property, equipment, or facilities.

 

Removal from Programs

If a participant, parent/guardian, or spectator is removed from a PUCK—IT program, camp, clinic, tournament, event, or facility due to conduct concerns, no refund or credit will be issued.

PUCK—IT reserves the right to refuse future registration or participation where conduct has created safety concerns, disruption, or conflict.

 

Communication Expectations

Questions or concerns should be brought forward respectfully by contacting PUCK—IT directly. Public confrontation, aggressive communication, harassment, or inappropriate comments toward staff, instructors, participants, or families will not be tolerated.

 

Acknowledgement

By registering for or participating in PUCK—IT programs, camps, clinics, tournaments, development sessions, or events, participants and parents/guardians acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

Adam Holzmann

Co-owner, PUCK—IT Development

Adam Holzmann is a seasoned hockey professional with a rich background in scouting, management, and development. His career includes scouting roles at the JrC, JrA, and professional levels, including the ECHL. With a deep expertise.  His commitment to hockey is further enhanced by his studies in Sports Analytics and Essentials at Columbia University. In addition to his role at PUCK—IT, Adam serves as the General Manager of the Cobourg Cougars (OJHL) and as an Ontario Scout for the Rapid City Rush (ECHL).
